Mishigami Lodge seeks to provide as many possible opportunities for youth leadership. The leadership of the Lodge and their respective responsibilities are listed below:
The Lodge Chief in addition to any other duties and responsibilities listed in the Order of the Arrow Handbook and the Order of the Arrow Guide for Officers and Advisers, shall preside over all meetings of the Lodge Executive Committee at which he is present. The Lodge Chief shall appoint members to the various committees of the Lodge upon recommendation of the overseeing Vice Chief. The Lodge Chief shall sign or designate the Secretary to sign all official Lodge documents. The Lodge Chief shall serve as the official representative of the Lodge and the youth of the Council and he shall inform the Council Executive Board of the Lodge’s operations from time to time. The Lodge Chief shall oversee the planning, and execution, of the Lodge Program Planning Day to assist in the transition between Lodge Executive Committees.

The Vice Chief of Program shall oversee the general program of the Lodge. The Vice Chief of Program shall serve as the committee chair and coordinate the operations of the Lodge Conclave and Winter Banquet committees. The Vice Chief of Program shall assume all other duties as directed by the Lodge Chief.

The Vice Chief of Area Relations shall oversee the connection between the OA and the units within the Lodge. The Vice Chief of Area Relations shall serve as the committee chair and coordinate the operations of the Unit Elections, Camp Promotions, and Unit Rep committees. The Vice Chief of Area Relations shall assume all other duties as directed by the Lodge Chief.

The Vice Chief of Administration shall oversee all Lodge administrative and chapter operations. The Vice Chief of admin shall assist Chapters in utilizing the Order of the Arrow Chapter Operations Guide. The Vice Chief of Admin shall serve as the committee chair and coordinate the operations of the Chapters and Awards and Recognition committees. The Vice Chief of Admin shall oversee and support the operations of the Vigil committee. The Vice Chief of Admin shall assume all other duties as directed by the Lodge Chief.

The Vice Chief of Communications shall oversee the communications and record keeping of the Lodge. The Vice Chief of Communications shall serve as the committee chair and coordinate the operations of the Communications (responsible for Lodge updates, social media, website, and history keeping) and Graphic Design committees. The Vice Chief of Communications shall record the minutes of all meetings of the Lodge Executive Committee. The Vice Chief of Communications shall keep correspondence within, and outside of, the Lodge as directed by the Lodge Chief. The Vice Chief of Communications shall assume all other duties as directed by the Lodge Chief.

The Vice Chief of Finance shall provide financial reports, oversee Lodge trading post activities, and prepare a financial operating budget. The Vice Chief of Finance shall use the Order of the Arrow Lodge Finance Manual as a reference. The Vice Chief of Finance shall serve as the committee chair and coordinate the operations of the Treasury committee. The Vice Chief of Finance shall serve as the procurement chair on the Graphic Design Committee. The Treasurer shall assume all other duties as directed by the Lodge Chief.

Area Chief – The Area Chief shall serve their respective area fulfilling all necessary responsibilities as deemed appropriate by their respective Area Executive Committee and the Lodge Executive Committee. They shall report to the current Lodge Chief and will execute all other necessary duties deemed necessary by the Lodge Chief.
